As we move through the week, we want to acknowledge that for Texans, it’s not business as usual.

What happened in and around Kerrville is heartbreaking. For so many of us with roots in the Hill Country, we hold dear summer memories at camps on the river, our family ties, and deep community. It’s personal.

The loss of life is devastating. The grief is real. And the road ahead is going to be long.

We’re holding space for everyone affected. For their pain. For their healing. For their families. For what’s been taken.

We’re not first responders or a relief organization, but we are part of this community. If you’re looking for ways to help, we’ll be sharing links and resources compiled by others who have been working around the clock.

If you’re a local business contributing to the effort, we’d love to help amplify that too.

Mostly, though, we just want to say that we’re hurting with you.
