• End summer on a high note with a big ol’ party at Double Standard that’ll have you saying “aw shucks!” Shucking oysters, that is. On Sept 25, dig into 50-cent oysters on the half shell, fried, and stuffed into a po’boy, plus drink specials and music by Lzrcat all night long.

• Fly over to Brackenridge Park this October for the Annual Monarch Butterfly & Pollinator Festival! Free to the public, enjoy nature-based experiences, plant giveaways, monarch butterfly tagging, and many more hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy. Plus, grab a yummy coffee from Poetic Republic, who’ll be set up and pouring all day.

• Another After Hours session returns to Indy Coffee Club on Sept 20, with all proceeds going to the family of Kenneth James after his untimely passing. Grab Pasta Mardi Gras plates from Gigi’s Deli, and enjoy cold drinks and great tunes by Ston the Band, Elnuh, and The Dreams.

• Celebrate the arrival of fall with a Retro Bruja Market at the Lighthouse Lounge on Sept 13. Shop local vendors, have your tarot cards read, and find gifts and trinkets for the spooky-lovers in your lives.

• It’s hoa hoa hoa season, y’all! And what better to do than a Twilight rewatch, but with a live band? This January, Twilight in Concert is headed to the Majestic Theatre for a chilling evening you won’t want to miss. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.
